SISA is launching a new incentive to help with fundraising. When shopping online, please first go to our webshop, www.buy.at/stivo (add it to your favourites, click on the picture to the left or use the link on the homepage). From there you can access and purchase from the websites of a hundred leading retailers, and everything you buy means money for our school. There is no extra expense for you; the cost is exactly the same as if you went directly to the website yourself, except that St Ivo will benefit.

The St Ivo School Association, known as SISA, is the Parent Teacher Association for the school. It is a registered charity (number 1043018) and is affiliated to the National Association of PTAs.

SISA exists to enhance the links between the school and its wider community. It provides a forum for parents and carers to meet one another, to support the staff and to raise funds to purchase items of equipment or services that will benefit all the children attending the school.

Every parent/carer who has a child at the school is automatically a member of the association and is entitled to stand as a member of the committee.

Dates for your calendar - 2009:

• SISA try to attend all parents'/carers' evenings and other school events to provide refreshments, sell second-hand sweatshirts and PE clothing - please come and say hello!

Fund-raising activities

• 200 Club – a relatively simple way of supporting our fund-raising, where, for only £12 a year, your allocated number is entered into a monthly draw. 50% of the ‘pot’ goes into the SISA account and 50% is distributed to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners. Click here for details (PDF document).
• Social events such as quiz nights, theatre trips, race nights and fashion show/sale.
• Fund-raising events such as car boot sales.

Getting involved

• Join the 200 club – click on the link above.
• Please come and support the fund-raising events that we organise; look out for letters sent online.
• Come to the friendly and informal committee meetings, which are held two or three times a term, on a weekday evening at the school.
• Come along to the Annual General Meeting held in October this year.
• We also welcome help from people who do not wish to join the committee but would like to contribute to the smooth running of the school and are willing to occasionally give a few hours of their time – this loyal group of people are referred to as ‘the friends’.
