St Ivo School is supported by a Governing Body of elected members. The Governing Body has a general responsibility for managing the school effectively:

• Establishing school aims and policies.
• Setting the school budget.
• Ensuring that the National Curriculum and religious education are provided.
• Selecting the Headteacher.
• Appointing, promoting, supporting and disciplining other staff.
• Providing outside advice and acting as a link between the local community and the school.
