GCSE Drama at St Ivo is examined by OCR. The course consists of a year of learning skills and exam techniques followed by a year of internally assessed controlled conditions exam periods followed by an externally assessed exam. A Level Drama at St Ivo is examined by AQA. The course consists of the study of two texts at AS in the autumn term followed by a January externally assessed exam. Then a period of rehearsal and direction of a published play followed by a performance and written evaluation of process which is externally assessed. At A2 level the pattern is repaeated with two texts studied followed by a January externally asssessed exam. Then there is a period of devising, rehearsing and evaluating the process of drama followed by a performance which is externally assessed.
